MEET THE TEAM

DOREEN M MORRIS

Founder of Muse Design Studio

I was born in New York City across the street from the Bronx Zoo. It was an amazing place to grow up and as a child I thought everyone had elephants in their backyard. 


I have spent my entire professional career in Art and Design. Initially in the world of Art, then transitioned to designing my own line of Jewelry as a Silversmith refining the eye for details , in my own style of Rustic Elegance. In 1989 I began a love affair with Interior Design while renovating my first home in New York. It wasn’t long before I turned my sights towards larger scale designs in the Interior Design world. I attended Fairfield University in CT for Interior Design in 2005 and still matriculating. 


With over 30 years of experience in Design. I started out designing Kitchens in 1990 with a small firm in New York. My biggest project was a 9 story building (personal residence) 200 year old building on 5th Avenue in New York City. Which led to Designing a Store Front a couple of blocks down and then a couple of commercial Kitchens until I committed myself to residential designs. I then spent 8 wonderful years in the manufacturing side of the Custom furniture and cabinetry and cofounded my firm Artisan Home Designs. Now the founder of Muse Design Studio.


I am a Mom, Grandmother, Wife and a Life Long Equestrian. While traveling abroad I met my Husband in his homeland of Scotland and now reside in Massachusetts for the past 16 years.

Doug Vadnais

Designer

Born in Ware, MA Studied at Bridgewater State College has been a team with us for 5 years. Doug has been designing fine cabinetry for over 20 years and has vast knowledge of the Building Industry. He is a proud family man and father of 3. When he isn't designing he is running with the Waltham Fire Fighters. Doug is an irreplaceable freelance designer who brings his clients the amazing results year after year. We are so happy to have him as part of our team!

Jess Fortin

Social Media

Jess is our Social Media maniac and photographer. Her background is in Art and Design, Communications and Event Planning.  Jess has 4 years experience with a major company’s HR team so she is wonderful with clients. She has become my all around general right hand girl. We are so happy to have her part of our Team. Learning from the ground up she is driven, a wife and a Mom living in Connecticut.
